hidden words in the periodic table

Today I’m sitting in lab, babysitting a machine that requires frequent and periodic attention. Every 180 seconds I have to get up, exchange samples, press GO, and wait for the next three minutes to pass by. Obviously, this is tedious and stultifying work, work that could easily be done by a mechanized arm, and I keep wishing it were being done by a mechanized arm. I feel a kinship with 18th century laborers. I yearn for the Industrial Revolution.

Anyway, I’m stuck here in lab with nought to entertain me besides my iPhone and a poster of the periodic table of the elements. The phone has been great (like seriously great — thank god for this phone) but there’s only so much tiny tumblr one can read in a sitting. So I went through the periodic table looking for hidden words that can be cobbled together from consecutive symbols. Here’s the list.

He
LiB
NO (also No)
(N)aM
gAl(S)
SiP(S)
ClArK
aS (also As)
CoN(iC) (I was so excited to find this one)
GaG(e)
AsS (pretty excited for this one too)
dIn(S)
(L)aCe
Ho(E(r))
aW
sIr
tAu
oAt
AcT

God, I’m bored.

Addendum: if you go through the periodic table backwards, the best words are:
ToMb
PiBb (as in Mister)
SaCK
SlAg
MaNe
BiLe
