Here’s a song I just wrote. It’s called Starbuck’s Song.
By way of introduction, I should make it clear that I’m pretty fond of Battlestar Galactica, the SciFi TV show that charts the battle between humans and Cylons as they race across space in search of a home called Earth. I’m even more fond of Kara “Starbuck” Thrace (see picture below), the tough as nails yet vulnerable and totally hot fighter pilot aboard Galactica. This song is for her.
For those of you who care about such things, there are no Season 4 spoilers here. But you’ll probably want to have watched everything up to the start of Season 4, including Razor.
One final note: the tune is lifted from Gary “U.S.” Bonds’s 1961 hit single, Quarter to Three, which I heard for the first time in an airport a couple months ago and immediately loved.
